Rooineck news
We held our annual Christmas get-together on Thursday 8 December. The event was well-attended and featured selected readings, accompanied by exotic nibbles and lots of red wine. We took the opportunity to discuss the form, content and function of this blog and decided that it would serve as a shop window to our creative genius. Selected Rooineck stories will be appearing here ASAP, at our earliest convenience, soonish.
December feature
In the meantime, and instead of publishing something sparkling, shiny and new, we're going down memory lane this December with an oldie - but not necessarily a goodie.
Hartwin wrote Tokol, by Gili for one of our semi-regular competitions many years ago and we thought it might be fun to stagger down this particular memory lane.

Rooinecks are blogging
A group of writers met on a course in 2002.
We decided to keep meeting up to critique each other's work. We meet up in pubs or wherever we can find a free venue. Since we began we've reviewed stories, novels (literary, chick-lit, science fiction, children's), poems, scripts and a job application.
Some of the writers have posted stories here, which can be read by clicking on the names above.
